Education, Prevention and Protection

After many years’ experience in the hygiene industry we created ToyGuard as the first complete hygiene resource for the play environment, in response to parents and carers for whom there was no complete hygiene package dedicated to child-care.

ToyGuard is a unique facility that encompasses our skills and knowledge as well as the insights, advice and best practice from industry experts. ToyGuard’s aim is to educate, prevent and protect though specialist services, unique sanitising products and our extensive on-line resources for adults and children alike.

Being parents ourselves, this has become a personal crusade for us. We don’t want children to grow up in an over-cautious or sterile world, but we do want them to be safe.

ToyGuard and Children

The reality is children are curious about exploring the world and use all their senses, especially touch and taste, to do this. We believe in providing child-carers with the piece of mind to allow children to play in a protected hygienic environment without spoiling their fun. We are also passionate about the importance of educating children about hygiene. Hygiene is fun! Oh, yes it is! To prove this we have developed a series of games, activities, lesson plans and factsheets.

ToyGuard and the Environment

Good hygiene practise has implications on both the internal and external environment. At ToyGuard HQ we practise what we preach and ‘being green’ is fundamental to our business philosophy. All our products are non-toxic, non-hazardous, non-flammable and biodegradable which means they are not only child friendly but environmentally friendly too.

We also reduce the impact our business has on the environment by sticking to the 3 R’s of reduce, reuse and recycle. We have selected products that, such as our hand towel dispenser, that help reduce consumption to spare both your wallet and the planet and our disposable paper products have Nordic Swan accreditation that guarantees paper is from a renewable source. Wherever possible we make sure controlled waste collections are incinerated rather than adding to land-fill.
