ToyGuard and Children
The reality is children are curious about exploring the world and use of all their senses, especially touch and taste, to do this. We want to protect our children without having to see them grow-up in an over-cautious and over-sensitive world. We believe in providing child-carers with the piece of mind to allow children to play in a protected hygienic environment without spoiling their fun. However we are also passionate about the importance of educating children about hygiene. As a result we have developed a series of downloadable checklists and factsheets which can be found in the Hygiene Know-How section of our Online Resources. Our Kids’ Stuff section also contains a range of fun activities to support this. The section is regularly updated with games, competitions and ideas so make sure you bookmark the site!
ToyGuard and Charity
Charitable activity has always been central to our ethos. Our parent company ER Environmental is proud of its long association with Oxfam, however when we created ToyGuard we wanted to do something different. We have set up a charitable fund and a contribution is made from every product sold. The money raised goes to a range of children’s charities and community organisations. If you have a cause that is important to you and you think we can help we would love to hear from you.
ToyGuard and the Environment
Good hygiene practise has implications on both the internal and external environment. At ToyGuard HQ we practise what we preach and ‘being green’ is fundamental to our business philosophy. All our products are non-toxic, non-hazardous, non-flammable and biodegradable which means they are not only child friendly but environmentally friendly too. We also reduce the impact our business has on the environment by sticking to the 3 R’s of reduce, reuse and recycle.
